An imitation of Nicholas Roerich (2022)

“The mission of an artist is to carry beauty to our life,– to reveal it for the others, to attract to it our attention and show something more than our everyday life routine, – life of tomorrow, life of a greater world, development of the next stage of our life evolution. Thus, an artist must be also a prophet, tuned to the sound of ever-existing powers, capable of reading and penetrating into evolutionary currents” - Svetoslav Roerich

I admire art not for the sake its aesthetic experience alone, but for the space it provides me to become a creator, to be present, to be able to measure the depth of each colour gradient, to be able to pour out all my creative juices and yet feel replenished after adding another frame to my collection.

Here is a collection of my sketches and watercolor paintings, some based on original photos from the internet and others inspired by my favorite artists. I am a learner, exploring the universe through the myriad lenses of artists I admire and respect for their fine work.
